From time to time I will post recommended reading or full book reviews in this blog. The following two books are my favorites – one from health perspective and the second as just good entertainment.
The China Study by Prof. Colin Campbell. This book made a big difference in my life. In my opinion, this is one of the most important books on nutrition and health that have been written. Prof. Campbell was one of the leading biochemical researchers in the United States. Before retiring, he worked at the Cornell University. His over 30 year research into impact of nutrition on human health had made many revelations with major implications to our diet. He led one of the most comprehensive human research studies that ultimately supported his theoretical research and animal studies – The China Study. This is a well written easily read book, but at the same time a book based on science. Reading this book may make a life and death difference – yes, literally!
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Dan is one of my favorite fiction writers. I like Dan’s books because they combine interesting facts with an excellent well written drama. Dan writes, what I would call, intelligent thrillers. You can both learn a lot from his books as well as simply enjoy breathtaking action. I also recommend Dan Brown’s first book The Da Vinci Code for the same reasons.
